Challenge Cup Rules

  1. Each team in the league shall enter the competition and pay entry fee as per Rules and Bylaws Rule 5
  2. Entrance fees will form the basis of prize money and each team will be handicapped according to their ability.
  3. All cup matches must be played before the next round draw.
  4. Mutally agreed dates are permissible providing each is completed before the next Delegates Meeting.
  5. Matches to be decided on aggregate scores. In the event of a tie, 1 player from each to be drawn from the original 10 players, the game will be played immediately after the match - 21 up with proportional handicap to each player.
  6. Only players who have played in one league match will be elligible to play in this competition after the first and preliminary rounds. To play in the final a player must have played in three league matches
  7. The winning team is responsible for posting the match result sheet to the Match Secretary within 7 days. Otherwise a £1 fine will be imposed.
  8. Winners to recieve the Challenge Cup and be responsible for it for the ensuing 12 months.
  9. League rules shall apply in respect of anything not covered in these rules.
  10. 10 minutes prior to the commencement of the seni-finals and the final, the captainsd must hand their numbered scorecards in playing order to the referee.
  11. Where possible, Semi-Finals and Final played on one day, Sunday
  12. Players must be registered for Mid-week teams. No player is allowed to play for more than ONE TEAM in the same competition. After the start of the competition all registrations are to stand.
  13. Midweek Cup Handicap Midweek Premier Winners - Scatch. 2 points for each place below winners of the Premier Division. Home team to lose 20 points from handicap.
    When two teams from the same club are drawn together in the Cup competition, the home teams loss of 20 points to be waived.
  14. Re-drawn players (as per Match Rule 19) are not permitted in Challenge Cup Ties
