 No questions were raised in respect of the accounts.

 Audit Report

Peter Hollins reported that the accounts were clear and concise , very easy to check and everything was found to be accurate and correct.

 Greater Manchester Report;

 Match Secretary’s Report.

  • Fixtures to begin week ending Friday 6th April.

  • Dedicated cup rounds for at least 1st & 2nd round should take our league to the 1st or 2nd week in August.

  • League formation

  • Saddleworth and Ashton Bowling from Div 2 to Div 1

  • Hollinwood Cricket and Frizeland from Div 1 to Premier

  • Dalamere Park, Mossley Park (Diggle Dogs) and Stalybridge Rec B, from Premier to Div 1.

  • James Norths and Fitzroy from Div 1 to Div 2

  • Been notified that Hyde Park B will be withdrawing from Div 2

 This now leaves ten teams in the Premier, ten teams in Div 1, nine in Div 2.

 Mossley Park have a change of venue, they will now play at Diggle and go under the new name of Diggle Dogs, the contact changes for the latter as well as AEU and Hollinwood cricket, will all be found in the 2018 handbook.

 Registrations – No cut off date for registrations but player MUST be registered before they play, CR1 and CR2 forms can be used to send registrations on as they already have BCGA numbers on.

 Result sheets will be given to each club so that they can be returned to the Match Secretary.  Any captains submitting result sheets electronically (web page, email, photo, text etc) should let the Match Secretary know so that he is aware that, that team/club will not require self addressed envelopes.  Those teams/clubs submitting results electronically should bring the actual sheets (signed by both captains) to the monthly meetings and hand them in to the Match Sec.

 Cup draw will be made in the March meeting with the first 2 rounds having dedicated dates. The preliminary round and round 1 should be in the 2018 handbook.

 Hyde Park A will now play the coming season on a Friday evening.  Diggle Dogs will also remain playing on a Friday.

 The 23rd of November 2018 was decided to be the next Presentation evening date at Stanley Square Conservative Club, Stalybridge.

 Greater Manchester Report

 Those clubs that affiliate through Tameside to GM, should have received either a CR1/CR2 form.  If any player on your list no longer plays for your club please do not cross their name out.  The last column in the row( reason for not bowling) should be endorsed  with either:-

L = left club.

D = deceased or

S = stopped bowling

 Any new bowlers should be added to the bottom of the list and sent to GM.

 Any clubs that have members who have had a Disclosing and Barring Service Check (DBS) should notify GM on the relevant form, this can be completed by either sending the forms to the Match Sec or alternatively sending them directly to the nominated person at GM.  BCGBA now propose that from November 2018, ALL clubs should have a DBS checked person.

 Delegates were then asked to vote on the following rule change:-

          “Every club must have a named Safeguarding Officer who holds a current DBS check                 failure to comply will result in an appropriate penalty.”

 Vote  3 for 21 against.

 However the Match Sec reminded all delegates that this relates to a GM vote so the outcome will be determined by all the other leagues/clubs that affiliate through GM.

 CR1/CR2 should be sent back to David Williams, copies of the CR1/CR2 can act as Tameside League registration form by sending them to the Tameside Match Sec.  It is also advised that DOBs are also recorded on the CR1/CR2 forms.

 Match rule 4 – Games at greens without floodlights should start at 6.15 pm in September rather than 6.30pm – Not Carried as captains can facilitate this themselves without a need for a rule change.

 A proposal was passed to the floor that the TMBL meeting in the month of August be cancelled.  This was carried by all present.

by Keith Robins - Tameside League Secretary - Thursday 09 March 2017

Tameside League fixtures have now been posted to the site.

Apologies for the delay

Tameside Mens League - Springbank

by Keith Robins - Tameside League Secretary - Friday 23 September 2016

Tameside Mens League held an EGM on the 22.9.16. With 1 committte member being unavailable and 2 voting by proxy, a quorum made the decision to delete Springbank's results for the 2016 season as Springbank were unable to fulfill their remaining fixtures. They also made the decision to expel Springbank from further competition in this League as from 22.9.16.

The League tables for all 3 divisions are now finalised. Springbank's results have been deleted. This action leaves the possiblilty of Delamere TA being relegated, though this may be resolved in League Formation later in the year. It also would have meant that Dave Walker (Dukinfield Central) wins the League Merit in place of Dave Knott (AEU). Tameside League have made the decision to award the Merit prize to both players.
